Rio Bravo Reopens to Traffic

(Albuquerque)-You could call it a Valentine’s gift from the New Mexico Department of Transportation.  The department has announced that the eastbound lanes of Rio Bravo over the river will reopen on Friday, February 14th, in time for the morning commute. The original reopening was scheduled for Monday, but crews were able to complete the project earlier than expected.

Work under and around the bridge will continue.

The lanes were shut down in late January so repairs could be made to the bridge.
