New Plan for Safety in Albuquerque

STATE POLICE IN NEW MEXICO HAVE ALREADY STARTED THEIR PATROLS OF CENTRAL AVENUE IN ALBUQUERQUE. KOB TV REPORTS THEY INCREASED PATROLS IN THE AREA LAST FRIDAY AND WILL ADD ANOTHER 50 OFFICERS IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THEIR FOCUS WILL BE NOB HILL AS WELL AND SOUTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST ALBUQUERQUE. BUT THE MAJOR FOCUS IN ON CENTRAL AVENUE.

STATE POLICE ARE ALSO TAKING PART IN MORE TRAFFIC STOPS IN ALBUQUERQUE.

CHRIS LOSACK RUNS ASTRO ZOMBIES COMICS IN NOB HILL AND TELLS KOB TV THAT NOT ONLY HAS THE POLICE PRESENCE INCREASED THERE, BUT THEY’RE SEEING FEWER OF WHAT HE CALLS “UNSAVORY” TYPES IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

IT’S NOT CLEAR HOW LONG STATE POLICE WILL ASSIST WITH PATROLS.
