Netflix Deal is Signed

ALBUQUERQUE’S MAYOR ON WEDNESDAY SEALS THE DEAL WITH NETFLIX, WHICH IS IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING ALBUQUERQUE STUDIOS WITH THE INTENTION OF BRINGING MAJOR PRODUCTIONS TO NEW MEXICO. MAYOR TIM KELLER WILL SIGN THE BILL THAT MAKES IT ALL POSSIBLE IN THE MAYOR’S CONFERENCE ROOM AT 11AM.

THE NEW MEXICO LOCATION WILL BE THE FIRST PRODUCTION HUB IN THE U-S FOR NETFLIX. THE SALE TOOK A BIG STEP FORWARD AFTER THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVED A FOUR AND-A-HALF MILLION DOLLAR INCENTIVE PACKAGE FOR THE COMPANY. THE FILM OFFICE WILL ALSO BE WORKING WITH UNM AND CNM TO PUT TOGETHER A COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM SO THERE WILL BE ENOUGH WORKERS ONCE NETFLIX GOES FULL STEAM IN ALBUQUERQUE.
