HOUSING SALES IN THE ALBUQUERQUE METRO ARE STILL STRONG. THE GREATER ALBUQUERQUE ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS SAYS EVEN THE DAYS A SINGLE FAMILY HOME IS ON THE MARKET BEFORE IT SELLS DROPPED TO AN AVERAGE 44 DAYS LAST MONTH.
PENDING SALES SAW A NEARLY 15 PERCENT INCREASE IN SEPTEMBER AT 985 UNITS. AND THE MEDIAN PRICE FOR A HOME IN ALBUQUERQUE EDGED UP 2 PERCENT TO 200-THOUSAND DOLLARS. THE AVERAGE SALE PRICE FOR DETACHED HOMES ALSO WENT UP JUST OVER 3 PERCENT TO 235-THOUSAND-496 DOLLARS. INVENTORY REMAINS LOW.
