The 2017 version of Balloon Fiesta is now about three months away, and several construction projects at Balloon Fiesta Park have begun. One includes the removal of some radio towers so a parking lot for staff and volunteers can be built. A bridge will also be constructed over the north diversion channel. Spokesman Tom Garrity says it’s the most significant upgrade at the park in several years. He says it’s all be finished by the time Fiesta begins October 7th.
