A fire that flared up near Cuba, New Mexico, Tuesday along Highway 126 burns half a dozen acres, two abandoned homes, and a utility building. Crews quickly arrived on scene and worked fast to keep the fire from spreading.
Crews kept it from reaching another home, then combed the area once the fire was contained to get rid of any hot spots. The fire also nearly destroyed the home of those who started the fire using fireworks.
