Fire restrictions in the Sandia and Mountainair Ranger Districts of the Cibola National Forest have now gone to stage two. That means campfires are prohibited, as are coal and wood stoves. And motor vehicles must stay on National Forest System roads. Forest officials say the fire danger has been elevated due to the hot, dry conditions.
