More Heat for NM … Then a Break

A heat advisory remains in place for much of Northwestern New Mexico, including Albuquerque. National Weather Service Meteorologist Kerry Jones says we could see high temperatures top 100 degrees or more all the way through Friday. He says this kind of heat for many days is something we haven’t seen in over 10 years.

And that can take its toll on people working outside. Jones says the hottest temperatures will be along the river valley. But there’s some good news. By this weekend, highs will only be in the 80s with a good chance of rain.

Remember to keep hydrated by drinking lots of water and stay out of the sun, especially during the hottest time of the day between 11 AM and 7 PM.
