APD has yet to release the name of a felon arrested in Albuquerque Tuesday night after he led APD officers on a vehicle chase across town. Police also haven’t said what felony warrants had been issued against him.
Officers initially followed the man for about an hour before they tried to arrest him in a parking lot near Louisiana and Indian School. The suspect got into his RV and tried to drive into the officers then sped off to the North Valley, circled back to the heights, drove onto the interstate and ended up on the northwest side. That car chase caused several crashes.
Police did cancel the pursuit because it had turned dangerous. They were finally able to stop the man with a spike strip.
