The Albuquerque City Council Monday night is expected to make a decision on a two-cent a gallon gas tax. If it passes, the measure from Councilor Isaac Benton would be placed on the ballot for voters to then decide.
The issue goes to a full council vote Monday night, but one person, however, opposed how the tax money would be used. Councilor Dan Lewis, who’s running for mayor of the city, expressed he’s against using it for road improvements. He’d rather see it go to APD officers.
