Feds Investigate Forced Landing in Albuquerque

The FAA is looking into Sunday morning’s forced landing of a plane three miles southwest of Albuquerque’s Double Eagle Airport. State Police say it happened sometime between 9:30 and shortly after 10 AM.

They were initially contacted about a possible downed aircraft, the searched the area and found the pilot, who was not injured. The plane suffered minor damage. The pilot told police he found some of the equipment on his aircraft was broken so he was forced to land.
