An 18-year-old who allegedly harassed his ex-girlfriend in Albuquerque is accused of trying to kill her. Ethan Guillen is said to have placed a home-made explosive under his ex-girlfriend’s bed at the West Park Apartments on Wednesday, putting her and every other resident there in danger.
A complaint says the explosive was a pressure cooker with a fuse coming out of the top, leading to a soldering iron plugged into the wall. An ATF investigator tells Channel 13 News the pressure cooker was full of nuts and bolts.
Guillen initially denied placing the device under the bed but eventually admitted that he’d put it there two weeks ago when no one was home and waited for it to explode.
