The City of Albuquerque still doesn’t have an operating budget for the next fiscal year. Mayor RJ Berry has vetoed the budget approved by the city council. He says it leaves the general fund structurally imbalanced and dips into the general fund reserves. Berry tells us that can impact the city’s bond rating.
The mayor says he’s worked with Councilor Pat Davis and Brad Winter to craft a replacement to the vetoed bill and it will be presented to the Council this Monday.
