Albuquerque Apartment Fire Was Human Caused

The Albuquerque Fire Department says the fire at an apartment complex at Carlisle and Montgomery this week was human-caused but there are no suspects identified so far.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the fire in the 4600 block of Carlisle just before 11 AM Wednesday. On arrival, they found a second story apartment was fully engulfed in flames with fire extending through the roof. That caused the roof to partially collapse.

The fire was contained to two units, resulting in smoke and water damage. The other 10 apartments were saved. There were no injuries and a small dog rescued by fire personnel is in good health.
