Conservancy District Voting Underway

JUNE 6TH IS ELECTION DAY FOR POSITIONS ON THE BOARD FOR THE MIDDLE RIO GRANDE CONSERVANCY DISTRICT.  FOUR SEATS ARE UP FOR GRABS: TWO IN BERNALILLO COUNTY, AND ONE EACH FOR SOCORRO AND SANDOVAL COUNTIES.

EARLY VOTING IS NOW UNDERWAY AND RUNS THROUGH JUNE 3RD.  THE CONSERVANCY DISTRICT SERVES 11-THOUSAND IRRIGATORS FROM COCHITI DAM IN THE NORTH TO THE BOSQUE DEL APACHE WILDLIFE REFUGE IN THE SOUTH.  SEVEN PEOPLE SERVE ON THE BOARD, THREE FROM BERNALILLO COUNTY, AND ONE EACH FROM SANDOVAL, SOCORRO AND VALENCIA COUNTIES.

June 6th is Election Day for positions on the board for the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District. Four seats are up for grabs: two in Bernalillo County and one each for Socorro and Sandoval Counties.

Early voting is now underway and runs through June 3rd. The Conservancy District serves 11,000 irrigators from Cochiti Dam in the north to the Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Refuge in the south. Seven people serve on the board, three from Bernalillo County, and one each from Sandoval, Socorro, and Valencia Counties.
