The school year has just ended but APS is already working to fill positions for next year. They have a particular need for special education, math and science, and b-lingual teachers- as well as school nurses.
District Spokeswoman Johanna King says there will be a job fair this Wednesday, May 31st, from 10:00 AM to noon at La Cueva High School. Anyone interested is encouraged to first submit an application online at aps.edu/jobs.
She says APS loses between 300 and 500 teachers every year through retirement or for other reasons.
