Monday, December 19th, is the day the presidential election becomes official. The national 538 members of the Electoral College cast their votes Monday. New Mexico has five electors and they’ll meet in Santa Fe.
The Electoral College usually votes in line with the election results. But they’ve been getting requests and harassment to not vote for President-elect Trump. Some of those requests are due to intelligence reports indicating Russia’s alleged interference with the election.
