Three children are dead and their mother is in critical condition after they were shot Monday night at a home in southeast Albuquerque. Police Chief Gordon Eden says a man, who had been in a short relationship with the mother, broke into her home, waited, and then shot the woman and her children when they arrived. He later took his own life. He was not the biological father of the children. The children a five-year-old boy, a six-year-old girl, and a nine-year-old boy.
