A would-be car jacker is seriously injured when his intended victim shoots him. The attempted car jacking happened Monday evening in the area of Montgomery and Carlisle in Albuquerque. Three men approached a couple who had just returned to their vehicle. That’s when the driver opened fire, hitting one of the men. APD says the drive isn’t facing any charges at this time as it appears to be a case of self defense. The other two car jackers fled and are being sought by detectives.
