One person is dead after a reported shooting Tuesday afternoon at the Wells Park Community Center at 5th and Mountain. Officers were sent to the scene after APD got calls around 2 pm of shots being fired there.
There were about a dozen children inside a nearby community center, which initiated its active shooter drill when it heard the gunshots. APD says this appears to have been an isolated incident.
No one else was hurt, and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Albuquerque Police.
