Attendance at state museums and historic sites in New Mexico has gone down since ticket prices were raised earlier this year. But a spokesperson for the State Department of Cultural Affairs says it’s too early to say if the new admission prices influenced the numbers.
The higher prices have brought about a boost in revenue, but not enough to offset a budget cut of 5.5% or $1.6 million.
