More information is being released by Albuquerque Police on Sunday night’s shooting on Central. Officer Fred Duran says officers were sent to 1st and Central in reference to a shooting and found a 25 to 30 year old man who’dd been shot several times. He was taken to the hospital and later told police he was walking in the area when a Latino approached him and started an argument with him.
The unknown male is said to have pulled a gun and fired on the man then took his phone and wallet. The incident had Central between Broadway and 1st Street closed in both directions but was later reopened.
The victim is in stable condition and is expected to survive. Call police if you have any information on this.
