Bernalillo County District Attorney Kari Brandenburg says she has no regrets about filing murder charges against two former APD officers. Brandenburg tells the Albuquerque Journal it was important for everyone to have their day in court.
The case against Keith Sandy and Dominique Perez ended in mistrial last month when jurors were unable to reach a verdict on second degree murder charges in the death of James Boyd.
A decision should come later this month on whether Sandy and Perez will be re-tried.
