Albuquerque police have detained a suspect in Friday morning’s carjacking in which a 4 year old girl in the car was kidnapped. It happened around 6am on Central near San Pedro. The vehicle, a 2014 Ford Fiesta, was found by Bernalillo police around 8:45am. APD’s Simon Drobik tells us the 4 year old, Isabella, was found safe at the KOA Campground in Bernalillo.
Witnesses told police the female suspect got into the drive seat of the Fiesta and drove off. More information will be available as the investigation continues.
