A Guilty Verdict in Lymon Trial

The man accused of killing an Albuquerque police officer last year has been found guilty of federal charges related to the case. Chief US District Judge Christina Armijo says Davon Lymon is guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm. It was the gun used to shoot and kill Officer Daniel Webster last year. The judge’s verdict was announced this morning. No sentencing date has been set, but Lymon faces up to 10 years for the conviction on the gun charge. He also could see up to 20 years in prison for his earlier guilty pleas to trafficking heroin in Bernalillo County in 2015. Lymon does not yet face state murder charges for the killing of Officer Webster.
