Alleged Cop Killer in Court

He has yet to be charged with the murder of APD Officer Daniel Webster. But Davon Lymon will be in an Albuquerque courtroom Monday on a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm on the day Officer Webster was shot. Webster died a few days later.

Prosecutors are banking on the gun being part of the evidence that Lymon killed Officer Webster last October. Monday’s proceedings involve a bench trial, which does not require an impartial jury despite all the media attention this case has gotten.

Webster stopped Lymon at Eubank and Central last October because he was riding a motorcycle that had been reported stolen.
