Last week’s Featured Pet Segment was cancelled due to Lobo Football.
Since our terrific dog Scarlette was not adopted this week she will get her chance to be featured this week.
SCARLETTE (ID# 1747819) IS A 10 MONTH OLD, FEMALE RED & WHITE AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER MIX WEIGHING 50 POUNDS.
◊ Scarlette is an energetic, playful affectionate puppy looking for an equally
energetic, playful loving family ready to help her with her occasional
shyness by socializing her. Take her out to experience places, people and things.
◊ She is a young girl with lots of potential.
Staff found her to be dog friendly on her behavior test.
◊ If you have a dog bring him/her along when you come to meet her.
They can check each other out and see if they can be best buddies.
◊ Scarlette is looking for a person to take her to doggie class
to learn lots of fun tricks, she’d love that.
Learning tricks boosts confidence too. Toys, did you say toys?
Scarlette loves stuffed toys. Sometimes puppies think everything is a toy.
◊ She could be a great jogging partner too. Her long legs should be able to
keep stride with you, just a bit of conditioning first.
◊ She has a gentle side when she has burned some of her puppy energy.
She enjoys leaning in for petting and affection.
◊ Scarlette is looking for her very own person/family to take care of her
enjoying that silly puppy side she has to share. Can you be a bit silly too?
☺ So if your perfect doggie pal needs to have energy to keep up with you…
she’s a playful beauty… perhaps a hiking or jogging partner?
Scarlette says her date book is open and she’s eager to meet you.
You will find her at the Eastside location of Albuquerque Animal Welfare.
Saturday October 1st begins the first of our month long free training for Pit Bull & Pit mixes. Please go to our website www.cabq.gov to get more info on what each class will help you with. The training will be at our Eastside Shelter every Saturday during the month. For those in the community that already Pit Bull mix family member this is for you…or adopt one and then bring it to the classes during this month long event. Animal Welfare’s goal is to get much-needed resources to these dogs and the folks who love them. Understanding the breed of a Pit Bull is the first step to being a responsible pet owner. This event was very popular and well attended last year so don’t miss out.
