It was a tough start to the week. Rio Rancho lost one of its heroes when Officer Gregg Benner was shot and killed in the line of duty. As citizens, we have to demand our criminal justice system gets an overhaul. Too many hardened criminals are out on the streets. Now, our police officers are being targeted by violent offenders that should be in jail. I encourage you to demand better and we’ll keep talking about the ideas that can make our city and neighborhoods safer. God bless Officer Benner’s family, colleagues and friends.
