New FBI numbers show the city of Gallup had the highest violent crime rate in New Mexico last year. An Associated Press analysis of 2013 FBI statistics showed Gallup had a violent crime rate of nearly 2,100 per 100,000 residents. That's more than twice the rate of Albuquerque. According to numbers released today, Gallup saw a total of 463 violent crimes in 2013, an 11 percent increase from the year before.
