ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) Officials say one state Department of Transportation worker has been fired and another is under investigation following a rowdy conference in Roswell.
Department of Transportation spokeswoman Melissa Dosher said Tuesday that the employee was fired following a Sept. 29 party that got out of hand.
KOB-TV reports workers got so drunk at a Best Western Sally Port Inn party, the bartender refused to serve them. Restaurant employees say one of the rowdy participants then relieved himself on the bar floor. Officials say that worker was underage.
Department of Transportation Cabinet Secretary Tom Church says the workers' behavior was unacceptable and officials would take quick action.
