TIERRA AMARILLA, N.M. (AP) The Rio Arriba County Sheriff's Office searched the northern New Mexico county's jail as deputies conducted an investigation into alleged drug trafficking. Sheriff's spokesman Jake Arnold says deputies executed a court-approved search warrant at the jail in Tierra Amarilla on Tuesday. Arnold says deputies found some apparent contraband, but County Manager Tomas Campos III said jail personnel told him the search didn't turn up “much of anything.''
Sheriff Tom Rodella says he'd received a tip that jail guards were part of a trafficking scheme.
Campos said jail personnel cooperated with the search.
