ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) A land development company wants to build a massive mixed-use development on Albuquerque's far west side. The Albuquerque Journal reports that Western Albuquerque Holdings LLC has submitted a master plan to Bernalillo County officials for the proposed Santolina development.
The proposed 21.4-square-mile development eventually could be home to 90,000 people. The development would include residential villages, business parks and open space. The site is near the city landfill and county jail and south of Interstate 40 and west of 118th Street.
