SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) The family of a young Santa Fe woman fatally injured when she fell from her boyfriend's moving truck says it was a tragic accident and that the family supports the boyfriend though he's being prosecuted in the death.
Moses Trujillo has been charged with vehicular homicide in the death of Jennifer Martinez. She fell out of the truck cab and hit her head when Trujillo made a left turn. Ariel Martinez told the Santa Fe New Mexican that her sister had a good relationship with Trujillo, whom she called loving and respectful toward her sister.
Defense attorney Dan Cron says Trujillo told him that the truck's passenger door has malfunctioned in the past.
