Game on Hold After Player’s Death

THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO-AIR FORCE FOOTBALL GAME SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY IN ALBUQUERQUE IS BEING PUSHED BACK TWO WEEKS TO NOVEMBER 23RD. THE DECISION WAS MADE FOLLOWING TUESDAY’S DEATH OF LOBO PLAYER NAHJE FLOWERS. A CAUSE OF DEATH HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN…BUT APD SAYS THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF FOUL PLAY.

THE ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL REPORTS THAT FLOWERS WAS DUE IN COURT ON THE DAY HE DIED FOR A PETTY MISDEMEANOR CHARGE OF DAMAGING THE VEHICLE OF–QUOTE–“AN EX-FRIEND.”
