Freeze Watch for Thursday Night, Friday Morning

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FREEZE WATCH FOR THE ALBUQUERQUE AREA FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. OVERNIGHT LOWS OF 28 TO 32 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED.

THE WEATHER SERVICE SAYS FREEZE CONDITIONS COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION, AND POSSIBLY DAMAGE UNPROTECTED OUTDOOR PLUMBING. MEANWHILE, A HARD FREEZE WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MUCH OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO AND THE SANTA FE METRO AREA, WHERE TEMPERATURES COULD DIP TO 15 DEGREES IN SOME PLACES.
