UNM Anatomy Lab Needs Bodies

THE ANATOMY LAB AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO IS IN DIRE NEED OF BODIES. THEY NEED CADAVERS TO HELP TEACH MEDICAL STUDENTS ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY. THE PROGRAM SAYS IT NEEDS 60 BODIES RIGHT NOW. THEY’VE GOTTEN ABOUT 36 GOOD BODIES DONATED SO FAR THIS YEAR.

AMY ROSENBAUM IS THE DIRECTOR OF ANATOMICAL DONATIONS AT UNM. SHE SAYS IF THEY DON’T GET THE 60 BODIES, TOO MANY STUDENTS WILL BE FORCED TO WORK ON JUST ONE BODY. SHE SAYS THOSE WHO DONATE WON’T HAVE TO PAY FOR FUNERAL COSTS.
