FBI Takes Espanola Girl’s Case

THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE DEATH OF FIVE YEAR OLD RENEZMAE CALZADA FROM ESPANOLA HAS NOW BEEN HANDED OFF TO THE FBI. THE GIRL’S MOTHER REPORTED HER MISSING AROUND 8:00 PM LAST SUNDAY AFTER THE GIRL HAD BEEN MISSING NEARLY 10 HOURS. SHE’D LAST BEEN SEEN PLAYING IN THE FRONT YARD OF HER STEPFATHER’S HOME.

THE SEARCH CONTINUED UNTIL WEDNESDAY, WHEN HER BODY WAS PULLED FROM THE RIO GRANDE NEAR ESPANOLA. THE FEDS SAY WHATEVER HAPPENED TO RENEZMAE MAY HAVE TAKEN PLACE ON SANTA CLARA PUEBLO, BUT THEY DON’T THINK THE COMMUNITY IS AT RISK.
