APS Super Accepts 11 Percent Raise

ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENT RAQUEL REEDY HAS ACCEPTED AN 11-PERCENT PAY HIKE. THE ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL REPORTS THAT DISTRICT OFFICIALS HAD EARLIER REFUSED TO SAY WHETHER REEDY HAD ACCEPTED THE RAISE…MAKING IT UNCLEAR JUST HOW MUCH SHE WAS EARNING.

THE 11-PERCENT BUMP IN PAY INCREASES REEDY’S SALARY BY ALMOST 30-THOUSAND DOLLARS…TO 276-THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR. APS TOLD THE JOURNAL THAT THE PAY HIKE REFLECTS THE AVERAGE RAISE THE DISTRICT’S TEACHERS GOT THIS YEAR.
