NM Has New Education Secretary-Designate

RYAN STEWART IS NEW MEXICO’S NEW PUBLIC EDUCATION SECRETARY. IF HE’S APPROVED, HE TAKES OVER THE REIGNS OF THE JOB AFTER KAREN TRUJILLO WAS FIRED JUST LAST MONTH AFTER GOVERNOR LUJAN GRISHAM SAID SHE DIDN’T MEET HER EXPECTATIONS.

RYAN’S BACKGROUND INCLUDES BEING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR THE NON-PROFIT PARTNERS IN SCHOOL INNOVATION FOR THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION AND ALSO FOR THE PHILADELPHIA SCHOOL DISTRICT … AND A FORMER MATH AND SCIENCE TEACHER IN CALIFORNIA.
