Meeting on Medical Marijuana Rule Changes

LAST MONTH THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PROPOSED SOME CHANGES TO THE STATE’S MEDICAL CANNABIS PROGRAM. ON FRIDAY THE DEPARTMENT IS HOSTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THOSE PROPOSALS.

THE CHANGES WOULD RAISE THE NUMBER OF PLANTS A NON-PROFIT PRODUCER CAN HAVE TO HELP MEET THE DEMAND FOR MEDICAL CANNABIS. A RULING ON THE PROPOSED CHANGES IS EXPECTED IN AUGUST.

THE HEARING IS BEING HELD AT THE HAROLD RUNNELS BUILDING ON ST. FRANCIS DRIVE IN SANTA FE STARTING AT 9AM.
