Parents Charged in School Shooting

THE PARENTS OF JOSHUA OWEN ARE NOW CHARGED WITH CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR. JOSHUA OWEN IS ACCUSED OF FIRING A GUN AT V. SUE CLEVELAND HIGH SCHOOL IN RIO RANCHO LAST FEBRUARY. NO ONE WAS INJURED. BUT A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT STATES HIS PARENTS, TAMERA AND DALE OWEN, HAD BEEN WARNED THAT THEIR SON HAD A FASCINATION WITH SHOOTING UP THE SCHOOL.

A TEXT MESSAGE JOSHUA SENT TO ANOTHER STUDENT READ “EVER SINCE MY DAD GOT A GUN FROM HIS FRIEND, SOMETHING TELLS ME I SHOULD SHOOT UP THE SCHOOL AND I DON’T WANT TO KEEP FIGHTING IT.”

JOSHUA IS FACING THREE COUNTS OF ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND OTHER CHARGES.
