Two Fires in One Day for Albuquerque

TWENTY FIVE ACRES ARE BURNED IN ALBUQUERQUE’S FOOTHILLS SINCE TUESDAY WHEN THE MICHAEL EMERY TRAIL HEAD FIRE FIRST FLARED UP. ALBUQUERQUE FIRE RESCUE HAVE BEEN WORKING THE BLAZE WITH THE BERNALILLO COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT AND STATE FORESTRY … AND THEY STAYED OVERNIGHT TO KEEP IT CONTAINED AND MONITOR THE FIRE.

IT’S NOT KNOWN HOW THIS FIRE STARTED BUT THERE ARE NO INJURIES. WINDS ARE A CONCERN BUT WINDS ON TUESDAY SENT THE FIRE MOVING SOUTHWARD, AWAY FROM STRUCTURES IN THE HIGH DESERT AREA.

ANOTHER FIRE WAS ALSO REPORTED TUESDAY AT COMANCHE AND EDITH AT THE INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE OF FRIEDMAN RECYCLING. NO INJURIES ARE REPORTED AND THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS UNKNOWN … BUT FIREFIGHTERS ARE STILL ON SCENE AS RECYCLED MATERIALS ARE STILL SMOLDERING.
