Intel Rio Rancho is Hiring

A CHANGE IN FOCUS MEANS MORE JOBS COMING TO RIO RANCHO. INTEL SAYS IT WILL BE HIRING 300 WORKERS THIS YEAR AS IT MOVES ITS BUSINESS TO, WHAT IT CALLS, DATA-RICH MARKETS.

THE COMPANY SAYS THE NEW HIRES BE MADE UP OF LOCAL RESIDENTS AND INTEL WORKERS BEING RE-LOCATED TO NEW MEXICO. RIGHT NOW, THERE ARE ABOUT 12-HUNDRED WORKERS AT THE RIO RANCHO FACILITY. INTEL SAYS THE TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE FOR EACH EMPLOYEE IS 145-THOUSAND DOLLARS.

INTEL FIRST OPENED ITS DOORS IN RIO RANCHO IN 1980 AND HAS SEEN NUMEROUS FLUCTUATIONS IN THE NUMBER OF WORKERS THERE.
