Favorable NM Ski Season Ends

NO MORE DAYS LEFT TO HIT THE SLOPES IN NEW MEXICO. SKI SANTA FE AND TAOS SKI VALLEY, THE LAST TWO RESORTS THAT WERE OPEN, ENDED THEIR SEASONS ON SUNDAY.

GEORGE BROOKS WITH SKI NEW MEXICO SAYS THERE WERE A LOT MORE SKIERS THIS YEAR…AN ESTIMATED 900-THOUSAND-PLUS…COMPARED TO A LITTLE OVER 500-THOUSAND A YEAR AGO. THAT’S PRIMARILY DUE TO AN UPTICK IN SNOW. BROOKS SAYS THE AVERAGE SNOWFALL TOTAL AT THE RESORTS WAS AROUND 190-INCHES…THE FOURTH HIGHEST TOTAL IN THE LAST 25 TO 30 YEARS.
