Lymon Defense Calls for Mistrial

THE JUDGE IN DAVON LYMON’S MURDER TRIAL ON THURSDAY WILL HEAR ARGUMENTS TO DETERMINE THE OUTCOME OF THE DEFENSE CALLING FOR A MISTRIAL ON WEDNESDAY. THEY CALLED FOR THE MISTRIAL BECAUSE OF QUESTIONING BY THE PROSECUTION WHEN LYMON TOOK THE STAND IN HIS OWN DEFENSE.

LYMON IS ACCUSED OF KILLING APD OFFICER DANIEL WEBSTER, WHO PULLED LYMON AND HIS PASSENGER OVER NEAR EUBANK AND CENTRAL. LYMON SAID ON THE STAND WEDNESDAY THAT HE AND HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND WERE GOING TO DINNER THAT NIGHT. THE EX-GIRLFRIEND, THE STATE’S KEY WITNESS SAVANNAH GARCIA, TESTIFIED THAT THE TWO WERE MAKING DRUG DELIVERIES. LYMON TOLD THE COURT HE DIDN’T KNOW GARCIA.
