Cleanup Underway in Dexter

VOLUNTEERS IN DEXTER, NEW MEXICO, ARE SIGNING UP TO HELP WITH CLEANUP OF THE MESS LEFT BEHIND BY THE TORNADO THAT HIT THERE ON TUESDAY. THEY WOULD HAVE STARTED CLEARNING UP EARLIER THIS WEEK, BUT THE WINDS WERE STILL DANGEROUS IN THE AREA.

DEXTER HAS NEVER SEEN THE KIND OF DAMAGE THAT CAN FROM FROM A TORNADO. THE TWISTER UPROOTED TREES, COMPLETELY SHATTERED WINDOWS, AND TOSSED MOBILE HOMES INTO NEARBY YARDS. MANY RESIDENTS SIGNED UP ON THURSDAY TO HELP WITH CLEANUP.

INSTEAD OF BREAKING THE SPIRIT OF MOST DEXTER RESIDENTS, IT’S BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER.
