The NM University Reducing Tuition

AT A TIME WHEN IT SEEMS COLLEGE TUITION CAN ONLY GO UP, A COLLEGE IN SANTA FE IS DROPPING THE COST OF ATTENDANCE. ST. JOHN’S COLLEGE IS LOWERING ITS ANNUAL TUITION, GOING DOWN FROM OVER 52-THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR TO 35-THOUSAND. NEW MEXICO STUDENTS GET A BIGGER BREAK AS THEY GET A 10-THOUSAND DOLLAR A YEAR DISCOUNT, LOWERING THEIR TUITION TO 25-THOUSAND DOLLARS.

THE SCHOOL SAYS THE NEW, LOWER TUITION RATES ARE POSSIBLE DUE TO A VERY LARGE MATCHING GRANT AND 300-MILLION DOLLAR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN THAT IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY. ST JOHN’S COLLEGE ALSO HAS A CAMPUS IN ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND.

THE LOWER TUITION RATES TAKE EFFECT NEXT YEAR.
