CHAN HAS TWICE BEEN TRIED FOR MURDER IN THE DEATH OF FELLOW DEPUTY JEREMY MARTIN AT A LAS CRUCES HOTEL IN 2014. BOTH CASES ENDED IN HUNG JURIES.
