I-D of Remains Could Take Time

THE OFFICE OF THE MEDICAL INVESTIGATOR IN ALBUQUERQUE SAYS THE REMAINS RECOVERED FROM THAT COMPOUND IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO EARLIER THIS WEEK ARE SO BADLY DECOMPOSED IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS TO COME UP WITH A POSITIVE I-D. THE OMI SAYS THE DELAY WOULD BE DUE TO THE USE OF DNA IF OTHER CONVENTIONAL INVESTIGATIVE TECHNIQUES AREN’T ENOUGH. INVESTIGATORS ARE TRYING TO DETERMINE IF THE REMAINS ARE THOSE OF A MISSING FOUR YEAR OLD BOY, THE SON OF ONE OF THE ADULTS ARRESTED AT THE COMPOUND, SIRAJ WAHHAJ. THE BOY’S MOTHER SAYS HE WAS TAKEN OUT OF GEORGIA WITHOUT HER PERMISSION BY WAHHAJ LATE LAST YEAR.
