Carson Fires are Small

IN THE FOREST, MONSOON SEASON IN NEW MEXICO CAN BE BOTH GOOD AND BAD. THE RAIN HELPS EASE THE FIRE DANGER…BUT LIGHTNING CAN SPARK NEW FIRES. THAT’S WHAT’S NOW HAPPENING IN THE CARSON NATIONAL FOREST IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO. SPOKESMAN ARNOLD WILSON SAYS THESE RECENT FIRES ARE ALL VERY SMALL…AND THE RESPONSE FROM THE FOREST SERVICE WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THEIR LOCATION. :

WILSON SAYS MONSOON MOISTURE IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE, SO GROWTH POTENTIAL OF THESE FIRES SHOULD BE MINIMAL.
